Here at James Frames, we love framing the things you love, whether that’s an artwork, family photos, a quirky tea towel, a jersey, or a boxing glove! Our welcoming and creative team will work with you to choose the best frame for your special piece. Every photo or artwork has a story, and we’ll help you bring that story to life. Come on in between 10 and 4 Monday to Friday, or between Saturday 10 to 1.

Need art supplies? 

Our little shop might be tiny, but we’re BIG on art supplies! From Posca pens to oil paints to polychromos pencils, we have it all. And if we don’t have it, we’ll get it in for you!
Come in and see our latest range of Lumiere metallic paints: the most versatile and wide-ranging assortment of metallic and pearlescent acrylics available. You won’t believe how truly bright and rich these metallic paints are. We also have a new range of FW acrylic inks and gorgeous Velvetouch brushes. Our informative consultants can work with you to help you find the right art supplies for you.

      James Frames Gillian

      Gillian James

      Owner/Picture Framer

      Gillian is the primary picture framer at James Frames, having been trained by previous owner Phil Holden.

      As an artist herself, Gil is uniquely placed to help you find the perfect picture framing solution and to make it a reality. She also enjoys offering a huge range of art supplies to local artists. As a Maleny resident, Gil is passionate about owning a local business on the Sunshine Coast.

      Her other interests include singing with a local group and being a trivia know-it-all.

      James Frames Gavin

      Gavin James

      Owner/Digital Printing & Scanning
      Cartographer at mapuccino

      As well as being co-owner of James Frames and Art Supplies, Gavin is a very experienced cartographer with over 30 years in the spatial industry.

      Using his knowledge of the publishing industry and the digital space, Gavin handles all printing on our Canon 12 colour A2 fine art printer and hi-res scanning on an A3+ Microtek scanner.

      Gavin likes Tottenham Hotspur football club, coffee and spending time with his family.

      Katy Forde

      Design & Marketing Consultant

      As a design consultant, Katy will assist you in creating the perfect picture framing solution for your piece.

      As well as working at James Frames Katy is an editor and playwright.

      Katy likes musicals, coffee (especially when Gavin makes it) and walking along the Hinterland Creeks with her partner and dogs.
